'Pretty Little Liars' S7E15: In the Eye Abides the Heart

★ ★ ★ ½

"In the Eye Abides the Heart," the directorial debut of Troian Bellisario, had me laughing so hard I was seeing double. And that's not just a jab at Aria's deformed video call dopplegAnger or the scene where Spencer (possibly Spencerietta) got caught with Wren at the airport, either. This episode made me laugh a lot; considering how bad some of these last 10 episodes have been, that makes this a good one.

Let's go over some of the bombs this episode dropped.

Aria is on AD's team, giving their stalker the 411 on every move they make. But being just as flighty with AD as she is with her friends is going to cost her.

Mona was finally let in on Liar’s Lament and practically drooled over that game board. Best scene of the ep!

Lucas and Charles made a comic titled Arcturus together when they were kids. It's about a shape-shifting hero who gets revenge on the people bullying him. Sounds a lot like A...

In next week's promo, Lucas admits he isn't completely innocent either.

Alison is keeping the baby. Emison fans unite, there is a baby on the way!

Aria told Ezra to stop putting Nicole first (finally), Paige confronted Ali about whether she has real feelings for Emily, and even though it's Hanna's turn again at Liar's Lament she never took it. But none of that was as interesting as one of the last scenes in this week's episode.

When Ezra goes to the airport after unexpectedly getting called back to New York, he sees Spencer and Wren talking together. Looking completely different just a few scenes earlier, fans are all buzzing about the same question:

Was that Spencer or her long theorized twin Spencerietta?

When Ezra sees her, "Spencer" says that Wren might be able to help with the Charlotte mystery, but the timing of their meeting seems suspicious. Some eagle-eyed fans say that this was her twin, the real AD, getting caught. What do you think?

Was that shady? Was that really Spencer? Leave your comments and PLL complaints in the space below.
