Great title - I absolutely loved Full circle, had my head bamboozled by Twin Peaks, Nurse Jackie made me laugh and cry, as did the exquisite Six Feet Under. Preacher, I need to binge watch - along with Mr Robot...Full Circle is a new show to me, so thank you very, very much for a new show, plus this great list. :)
Spot the non-deliberate mistake?? *facepalm* I meant to write, I loved The 'Booth at the End.' I really did, I binge watched it during the summer knowing it was going to be open ended but really, too many good shows are being cancelled and I really wanted to find out more about the characters and of course 'the man.' What a great premise, maybe someone will pick it up along the way...
Well I love a good story, so TV has always been a guilty pleasure for me. I majored in English Communications Education in college so I think I've been wired to separate the best shows from the pack. I love the standard show formulas when they are well executed, but I am delighted by a fresh twist or a surprise. It really is the Golden Age for television and the competition is clearly quite fierce.
I actually binge watched Booth at the End and Full Circle last summer. I only just found out that Full Circle is still running. Now I need to catch up. Had no idea it would be more than one season LOL.
Well said Lisa. We're so inundated with quality television that being good is no longer enough. A show is only watchable now if it's unique and moves past old tired formulas/cliches.
