I thought the show was good despite the political correctness. Fox was foolish for canceling it.

It's unfortunate that this is the legacy of 24. It is nowhere near as good as the original. Things are more predictable and the action is a little worse. The fight scenes are a little stupid some times, asking the questions "why would anyone do that, in that situation?". This series is a far cry from the original and the main actor is far from being as good as Kiefer Sutherland who played Jack Bauer.

Let's get the obvious out of the way, it's just not going to have the same feel without Jack Bauer. No need to go further, I know everyone's already mentioned it. That being said, the new lead does a pretty good job in picking up the torch and displays a wide range of emotions well, the action is interesting although at this point it's pretty predictable.

The first couple of seasons of 24 were pretty ground breaking at the time and explored lots of new territory, the problem now is that the show seems to be re-hashing the same plots and there's nothing really ground breaking about what has taken place. It's interesting no doubt, but it will not grab your attention the way the "good seasons" of 24 did.

The real problem here is that the characters lack the same sort of oomph that the original 24 had. While the series does focus on a select few individuals and most of them do have interesting plots, 24 was really able to make a wide cast of people interesting. Even the villains that lasted for a few episodes were great and interesting. This season just doesn't have that same level.

Overall I do think the show is addictive and a good watch, but they will need to find a way to reinvent the wheel here, it can just be the main character constantly butting heads with CTU, and then winning over the President and saving the day. If they can pull that off, I will give them credit.

as someone who effing LOOOOVED the original show (while fully aware how preposterous and over-the-top it was ) & being a fan of Corey Hawkins ( by way of TWD) I really wanted to love this revamp.... buuuut it is pretty lame, at best. The storyline is pretty much same old s**t , probably rough drafts from the original; they're trying to force Carter to be the "young" Jack Bauer while adamantly insisting that the characters are soooooo diff.... uggghhhh look, I miss Jack too, but if you want this remake to have a chance to survive , the writers need to develop Carter as an actual human being, not some JB knockoff and create some storylines that will actually keep the audience in suspense, what drew us to the orignal in the first place. Right now i FF through most of the episodes because everything is sooooo damn predictable and has been done a million times on the orig.

S1E6: I really liked original 24 an d therefore was looking forward to watch 24 Legacy. However, I was very disappointed to learn it does not work out for me and I am not enjoying it. I think one season is more than enough for me.

Currently not impressed. I will not call this a great reboot nor will I say that the actors are on the same level as before. I can't see a new Jack Bauer in the works, but will give it another shot to win me over

24: Legacy. Legacy? Of what? I'm sorry to say this, but this legacy sucks.
1st episode - the only good thing: the tick-tock.
2nd - "oki, maybe it had a little start problem, lets try again. Im sure the plot will get better." Not.
3rd - "yeah, oki, nevermind.. Hoping for the episode to end soon."

After the first episode, it took me 2 days to re-watch season 1 of the original series. Couldn't stop myself. Season 1. No high-tech (oki, there was some, but you know what i mean), no drones, no hacking, no torture.
Now, 24: Legacy. I've seen 3 episodes so far and i hate that i have to watch the whole season. Yes, i have to. I have a problem, can't stop just like that... :p Fortunately, the show will only have 12 episodes per season (their words, not mine).

This is not about the actors. And i know that Carter is not supposed to be the new Bauer. We cant compare them. We shouldn't. But the producers, the directors, screenwriters, someone made a mistake (or more). And that is bad news for us, the ones hoping for a nice show...

3 episodes in Legacy seems to be a decent enough reboot of the original. I am not yet sold on New Bauer and he is definitely NOT New Black Bauer that name still belongs to Curtis Manning RIP.
