American Ninja Warrior Recap 9/11/17: Season 9 Episode 14 “Las Vegas – Finals Night 2”

‘American Ninja Warrior’ opened with a brief message for Kacy Cantazero. Kacy led the way for most women on the show and she proved that women could clearly keep up with their male competitors however Kacy has gained some competition lately and so many were wondering if Kacy would shine tonight. But before the show could once again show Kacy at her best, the others competing tonight had to earn their spot in the finals. The show has added a few new courses that some of their former contestants weren’t used to. However, tonight Rigel Henry with all of his supposed Hollywood looks had somehow managed to fail on a familiar course. Rigel slipped on the Jumping Spider after he failed to get one foot up on time and so he crashed out on an obstacle that had taken out lesser men before him yet luckily didn’t mess with all of his golden hair. American Ninja Warrior Recap 9/4/17: Season 9 Episode 13 “Las Vegas Finals – Night 1”

Over the last twelve weeks, 100’s of athletic have pushed themselves to compete for $1,000,000 in the national finals. This is night one of the National finals and the show opens on the strip in Las Vegas, NV. Matt and Akbar welcome the fans and note that there are only 100 athletes left in the completion. Kristine introduces the eight obstacles that will be used tonight. In order to stay in the completion, they all must be completed within 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The obstacles are: Snake Run, the Propeller Bar, the Double Dipper, the Jumping Spider, the Parkour Run, the Warped Wall, the Domino Pipes, and the Flying Squirrel Gabe Hurtado is a 32-year-old show salesman from Fresno, CA. Gabe is known for his trademark bandana and hopes to do better than his run at the finals last year. Unfortunately, Gabe can’t make it passed the second obstacle and is out of the race. Another familiar face to ANW is Karsten Williams. He is a 36-year-old personal trainer for McKinney, TX. This is his fourth appearance in the finals. American Ninja Warrior Recap 8/28/17: Season 9 Episode 12 “Denver City Finals”

The show opens in Denver, CO and Matt and Akbar welcome the fans to the final night of the city qualifiers. This is the last opportunity athletes will have to advance to the live finals in Las Vegas. Kristine introduces the ten obstacles tonight and they are: the Floating Steps, the Warped Wall, the Ring Swing, the Bouncing Spider, Paddle Boards, the Rail Runner, the Salmon Ladder, the Wedge, the Ninjago Roll and finally the Elevator Climb. If a contestant can finish all ten obstacles they will be guaranteed a spot in Las Vegas. The first contestant of the night is Ian Weber who is a 29-year-old shakerboard champion form Provo, UT. Also on hand tonight is the governor of Colorado, John Hickenlooper, who is excited to cheer all of the athletes on to victory. Ian has a strong start but the Bouncing Spider proves to be too much for him and he falls into the water. Next up is the first female of the night, Larissa Cottle. Larissa is a 24-year-old concrete worker from Lehi, UT. She is a strong athlete but also a proud mother to her two-year-old daughter. American Ninja Warrior Recap 8/21/17: Season 9 Episode 11 “Kansas City City Finals”

The show opens in Kansas City, MO and Matt and Akbar welcome the fans to the city finals. The contestants will be competing for a chance to move on to the finals in Las Vegas. Kristine introduces the ten obstacles tonight and they are: the Floating Steps, the Warped Wall, the Hang Glider, the Broken Pipes, Crank It Up, the Bar Hop, the Salmon Ladder, the Floating Monkey Bars, Iron Maiden and finally the Elevator Climb. If a contestant can finish all ten obstacles they will be guaranteed a spot in Las Vegas. Morgan "Moose" Wright is the first athlete to take on the obstacle course. Morgan is a 42 year old P.E. teacher from North Ft. Myers, FL. His two daughters and wife are on the sidelines cheering "Moose" on. He makes it all the way to the Salmon Ladder but falls on the first rung. Time will tell if his time is good enough to move on to the finals in Las Vegas. Alex Smith of the Kansas City Chiefs is in the crowd cheering on the warriors. Alex Carson is an Engineer from Kansas City, Mo and is 30 years old. He is excited to tackle the course tonight for the third time. The Floating Monkey Bars are too much for Alex and he falls into the water. Deren Perez is an officer in the Coast Guard and he flew 7000 miles to compete on the show but Crank It Up proves to be too much for him and he falls into the water below. Jelani Allen, a college student, brought is grandfather along as his support but the Floating Monkey Bars prove to be too much for him and he falls to his defeat. READ MORE...

American Ninja Warrior Recap 8/7/17: Season 9 Episode 9 “Daytona Beach City Finals”

The show is set in Daytona Beach, FL tonight and Matt and Akbar welcome an excited crowd at the Speedway. Contestants will compete for a chance to move on to the finals in Las Vegas. Kristine introduces the ten obstacles tonight and they are: the Floating Steps, Wingnuts, the Rolling Pin, the Broken Bridge, Rolling Thunder, the Warped Wall, the Salmon Ladder, the Giant Cubes, the Circuit Board and finally the Elevator Climb. If a contestant can finish all ten obstacles they will be guaranteed a spot in Las Vegas. Tonight’s episode is dedicated to never giving up. 34 athletes will compete tonight and give everything they have got to move on to the national finals. Eddy Stewart is a 34 year old firefighter from Hueytown, AL and will be the first contestant to tackle the course. Eddy almost falls into the water on his dismount from the Broken Bridge but is able to save himself at the last minute. Unfortunately, the eighth obstacle proves to be too much for Eddy and he falls into the water on the Giant Cubes. American Ninja Warrior Recap 7/31/17: Season 9 Episode 8 “San Antonio City Finals”

It is the San Antonio city finals tonight and Matt and Akbar welcome an enthusiastic crowd. Contestants will compete for a chance to move on to the finals in Las Vegas. Kristine introduces the ten obstacles tonight and they are: the Floating Steps, Tic Toc, the Spinning Bridge, the Sky Hooks, the Pipefitter, the Warped Wall, the Salmon Ladder, the Hourglass Drop, the Spin Ball Wizard and finally the Elevator Climb. If a contestant can finish all ten obstacles they will be guaranteed a spot in Las Vegas.Nate Burkhalter is the first to attempt the course. Nate is a Nate Burkhalter is the first to attempt the course. Nate is a 31-year-old engineer from Stavanger, Norway. Nate starts enthusiastically but can’t make it passed the Hourglass Drop and falls into the water. His fans are devastated at his failure. During the commercial break Victor Juarez and Brittany Hanks both attempted the course but were unsuccessfully. Sam Ballard is up next. He is a 32-year-old Warehouse Manager from Bartlesville, OK. He doesn’t consider himself an athlete but he has a spark for life and watches the show every week with his father. He father was recently diagnosed with leukemia and Sam wants to complete the course to honor his father. Unfortunately, the Pipefitter proves to be too much for Sam and he falls into the water. His father is proud of Sam for trying. Abel Gonzalez is a 33-year-old gym owner from Edinburg, TX and started the course while the show as at a commercial. He easily completes the first seven obstacles but the Hourglass Drop was more than he bargained for and Abel falls into the water. The next athlete to attempt the course is 36 year old, personal trainer, Karsten Williams who is from McKinney, TX. He is a familiar name to American Ninja Warrior as he has made it to the national finals in the last three seasons of the show. He gets the furthest then any other contestant but the Spin Ball Wizard is too much for Karsten. He may make it to the finals if the other contestants also are unable to complete the course. American Ninja Warrior Recap 7/24/17: Season 9 Episode 7 “Los Angeles City Finals”

The city finals start tonight and two more obstacles have been added to the course. The show is back in Hollywood tonight and filming at Universal Studios. Matt and Akbar welcome an enthusiastic crowd. Twenty-two contestants will compete for a chance to move on to the finals in Las Vegas. Kristine introduces the course for tonight. It is made up of ten obstacles including the salmon ladder, the swinging peg board, stair hopper, elevator climb, floating steps, cannonball drop, fly wheels, block run, battering ram and the warped wall. Nick Hanson is 29 years old, works as a coach and is from Alaska. His sister and mom are on hand to cheer Nick on. Nick finishes the first five obstacles in less than a minute than takes almost a full minute to complete the battering ram. Nick falls into the water on the eighth obstacle. The swinging peg board was just too much for him. Scott Wilson, Sander Odish and Ben Humphreys all attempt but fail the course. Up next is Natalie Duran. Natalie is a 25 year old Youtuber and failed on the battering ram in the qualifying event. Again the battering ram is too much for Natalie and she falls into the water. READ MORE...

American Ninja Warrior Recap 7/10/17: Season 9 Episode 5 “Cleveland Qualifiers”

Tonight’s Monday, July 10 episode of American Ninja Warrior recap begins now – Refresh Page often to get the most current updates! The fantastic four return to the show. They are strong women who are role models for girls and women who hope to compete on American Ninja Warriors. The show is in Cleveland, Ohio tonight and Matt and Akbar welcome a huge crowd. Kristine introduces the course for tonight. It is made up of the floating steps, the rolling log, the razor’s edge, ring jump, the I-Beam gap, and finally the warped wall. The top finishers will move on to the finals. The first contestant of the night is Michael Nowoslawski, a 22-year-old marketing student. He does a great job on the first three obstacles but falls as he attempts to dismount on the ring jump. Next up is Shanon Paglieri who is a 47-year-old physical therapist. READ MORE...

American Ninja Warrior Recap 7/3/17: Season 9 Episode 4 “Kansas City Qualifiers”

The first competitor of the night was a familiar face because it was Chris Lange. He had tried out a couple seasons back and missed out on his chance to take on the Finales. But Chris was back this year to redeem himself and unfortunately, there were a few new obstacles. The course was separated into six obstacles with the familiar Floating Steps being the first however then moved on to the Hang Glider, the Broken Pipes, the Crank It Up, the Bar Hop, before it ends with the Warped Wall. So Chris had hoped he would make it through all six obstacles and the high school teacher ended up falling prey to the Broken Pipes. The Broken Pipes was when the floor was shifting underneath the competitor and so it knocked down Chris before he knew it. However, the next competitor had an easier time on the same obstacle. Derrick Pavoni grew up making pizzas and would have normally been written off because of his small stature yet he used that same weight too quickly propel himself through the first three courses before he too was wiped out. Derrick sadly couldn’t keep the same stamina that had gotten him through the beginning on the Crank It Up. So that obstacle also claimed its first victim of the night. READ MORE...

American Ninja Warrior Recap 6/26/17: Season 9 Episode 3 “Daytona Beach Qualifiers”

Tonight the show is in Daytona Beach, Florida. Matt and Akbar are excited to welcome racing fans to the show. Kristine introduces the obstacles for the night and they are the floating steps, the rolling pin, wingnuts, broken bridge, rolling thunder and finally the warped wall. Both the rolling pin and wingnut are new to the show tonight. The first contestant is Halei Jo Fuller who is a 21 year old student from Winter Park, Florida. Unfortunately, she falls on the second obstacle the rolling pin and is out for the night. Casey Suchocki is a 25 year old student from Alabama. He tackles the first two obstacles easily but falls on the wingnuts. Once he gets out of the water he goes directly to his girlfriend and proposes. She accepts and the couple gets engaged on national television. The next contestant is 40 year old Otis Hooper who is a pilot with the National Guard and lives Maryland. He fails on the second obstacle of the race, the rolling pin. Bree Widener is a 23 year old makeup artist from Georgia and she thinks she has what it takes to finish the course easily. She makes it further than any other competitor of the night but fails on the rolling thunder. READ MORE...
