Black Lightning Season 1 Episode 8 Review: The Book of Revelations

Was that the insight we needed to take this show more seriously? Black Lightning Season 1 Episode 8 finally revealed the truth about Gambi, and it was about time. If you watch Black Lightning online , you will already know that his true allegiance has been in question. That is all thanks to him telling Jefferson things on a need to know basis. Whether he's been having secret meetings with Lady Eve or heading out on missions without Jefferson knowing, it's been painful to watch.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2018/03/black-lightning-season-1-episode-8-review-the-book-of-revelation/

Black Lightning Season 1 Episode 7 Review: Equinox: The Book of Fate

RIP Lady Eve, Tori, and David Poe! On Black Lightning Season 1 Episode 7 , the power struggle in Freeland became too much to handle for some of the characters, and it resulted in Lady Eve having her face melted off. It was shocking that this villainous character was wiped out in such a random fight scene. Sure, it made sense that Tobias would not want to roll over and accept defeat, but I found myself rolling my eyes for much of the big fight scene involving guns that seemed ripped from DC's Legends of Tomorrow .   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2018/03/black-lightning-season-1-episode-7-review-equinox-the-book-of-fa/

Black Lightning Season 1 Episode 5 Review: And Then the Devil Brought the Plague: The Book of Green Light

How long will it take forAnissa to swoop in and give Black Lightning a rest? That thought crossed my mind several times while watching Black Lightning Season 1 Episode 5 , which found the titular hero struggling with the drawbacks of being a superhero. We already know that this isn't Jefferson's first rodeo, but he needs to stop and take a long hard look at himself and establish some ground rules to stay healthy.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2018/02/black-lightning-season-1-episode-5-review-and-then-the-devil-bro/

Black Lightning Season 1 Episode 4 Review: Black Jesus

Not everyone can be saved. That sentiment echoed through Black Lightning Season 1 Episode 4 as Jefferson continued to try and come to terms with fighting crime on the mean streets of Freeland after a prolonged absence. Freeland is so deeply rooted in crime that it was inevitable drugs would make their way into the narrative. What happens when you have the most addictive drug around, and you have a group of adolescent teenagers? You get results. These dealers were using the "try before you buy" shtick to get the kids hooked on the drugs and that means dollars for Lady Eve's bottom line.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2018/02/black-lightning-season-1-episode-4-review-black-jesus/

Black Lightning Recap: Anissa Puts Her Foot Down, Tobias Targets [Spoiler]

Until now, Black Lightning has focused on the toll that crime and gun violence take on Freeland.
