'Bones' Recap: Who's Fracking Now?

There is no better way to open a Bones episode than with B&B in the bedroom with Booth's tape measure (literally, he's holding a retractable tape measure) reaching for the sky. In "The Senator in the Street Sweeper," Booth wants a big screen television in the bedroom, but Brennan doesn't want his sports interfering with their sports. Ever clever Booth promises to make it worth her while. What, is it my birthday? Dang. Already I'm thinking this is the best episode of the season, which is a pretty tall order since the five we've already had have been nothing short of spectacular.   Read More...   //

Bones Season 11 Episode 6 Review: The Senator in the Street Sweeper

The gruesome murder of a Senator made Bones Season 11 Episode 6 one of the most entertaining installments of the season. Im usually totally grossed out by the scenes with the mutilated corpse, but I didnt find this one all that horrendous, even when Cam was spilling stomach contents on the floor. The one addendum to that was Hodgins and the eyeball. I cant handle eyeballs!   Read More...   //

Best 'Bones' Quotes from 'The Resurrection in the Remains'

Bones gets a visit from Abbie Mills and Ichabod Crane in season 11 episode 5, "The Resurrection in the Remains," when a headless corpse is found at a crime scene, but bringing that body back to Sleepy Hollow isn't as easy as they thought it would be. Plus, Booth and Brennan get into the Halloween pranking spirit. For more on what happened, read the recap.   Read More... //

The Bones/Sleepy HollowCrossover You Never Wanted Led to a Halloween You Kind of Did

This week, Dead Men Tell No Tales as Sleepy Hollow crossed over with Bones ! Its as odd as it sounds, and ran into some forensic snoozology, but it had Halloween charm and the most satisfying wrap of the season so far.   Read More...     //

Bones/Sleepy Hollow Recap: Crossover to the Dork Side

Happy Hollow -ween, Sleepyheads! (And, yes, it took me two seasons and change to come up with that.) Show of hands: Whod never watched an episode of Bones before last nights crossover special? Because I saw at least one Sleepy Hollow fan on Twitter last week admit to being a Bones noob, Im assuming we are many, if not legion. (Isnt that a saying? Opinions on Twitter are like cockroaches: Find one, and youll know theres a lot more where that came from?)   So lets start by playing Bonin Up on Bones . Bones is a forensic crime procedural currently in its 11th season, starring Emily Deschanel as Temperance Bones Brennan, ace investigator of corpses, and David Boreanaz as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth. I guess that over the course of the past decade, Bones and Booth have coupled up and (apologies in advance) boned, as they now have two children who were obliquely referenced yet unseen in last nights episode. Im guessing that these kids are often absent in that TV-trope kind of way like how Marshall and Lily went weeks on How I Met Your Mother never sharing a scene with Marvin (they even went on road trips without him!) or how the Barone offspring on Everybody Loves Raymond did little more than get shooed out of rooms by their parents. Having kids on a TV show is almost always about engendering pregnancy story lines and delivery high jinks and almost never about what the hell to do with them once theyre born. (Theory: TV writers are like Republicans; only interested in children during the fetal phase. Hey-o!)   Read More... //

'Bones' Recap: Sleepy Hollow Comes to the Jeffersonian

The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived at long last. FOX's longest running and most successful prime time "crimedy," Bones , joins forces with Sleepy Hollow , FOX's impressively popular, though much less tenured supernatural prime time drama. The big deal about this is that Bones is based upon serious science while Sleepy Hollow confronts campy outrageous supernatural demons. Though many had their doubts, this marriage works remarkably well. How? Through the focus on such commonalities as a commitment to fighting crime, a respect for each other's greatness all around, and investment in the magic created by opposites attracting.   Read More...   //

Bones/Sleepy Hollow Crossover Recap, Part 2: It's All Greek Fire to Me

The Bones/Sleepy Hollow crossover, like any TV event, was one heck of a trick to pull off. Good thing it was also particularly its second hour quite the treat. The Sleepyside of Foxs Halloween-themed evening was a solid episode that entertained, stayed true to its characters, caused a few laughs and even managed to forward [] //

Bones Season 11 Episode 5 Review: The Resurrection in the Remains

It was Halloween on Bones Season 11 Episode 5 ,and all bets were off. From headless corpses to witchcraft, flatlining to pranking, there was plenty of spooky fun to go around. Not to mention Ichabod Cranedropping in for a visit that gave us both historical and supernatural moments. When you watch a show week in and week out, there are little things you forget, like the fact that The Jeffersonian was named after Thomas Jefferson or that its archives are filled with old documents, some of which were written by Ichabod himself.   Read More...   //
