Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 12 Review: Sanctuary

One thing that viewers can expect from any of the Dick Wolf franchises, is an episode or two dedicated to a ripped from the headlines case or current event. This go round, Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 12 was a nod at the Charleston shooting. What I appreciated the most, is that for once the case wasn't "on the nose." In fact, it was so subtle that it barely registered until the end of the episode. Nothing about the case had anything to do with the real life tragedy.  ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/01/chicago-pd-season-4-episode-12-review-sanctuary/

Chicago P.D. tonight is the continuation of the Chicago Fire cross-over. Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) asks Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) if Chicago Fire’s Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) has asked for a lawyer and she says no. Voight asks if Erin is okay with this, she says they only dated for a minute and the only reason Severide hasn’t asked for a lawyer is because she is going to be sitting in on the interview. Voight and Erin ask Severide if he would like coffee or anything, he says no and only wants to get out of there. Severide tells them the story that he had donated blood for the bone marrow transplant but it was canceled because the chemo was killing Anna (Charlotte Sullivan). He didn’t show up for shift at Firehouse 51 because he was in a bad mood and had taken the shift off. He admits he went to a bar and didn’t keep count how many he had, and he left. When Voight asked him if that was when he got in his car, he says he doesn’t remember; and implies it could have been the blood donation or the alcohol that did it. Erin asks if he blacked out and says he did. Voight asks if that was when he got into the car wreck, he says he wasn’t in the car. Voight asks how he cut his head, Severide doesn’t know. Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 10 Review: Don't Read the News

Two episodes of Chicago PD in one week? Aren't we lucky. Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 10 throws us right back into the action with the Intelligence Unit looking for a serial killer responsible for the murders of young women going back to 2008. And Adam Ruzek ships off to someplace else, replaced by Jack Porter from Revenge...I mean, Nick Wechsler. "Don't Read The News" (which, is anyone else bemused by how the title is so similar to that of the episode right before it?) gives the CPD Intelligence Unit almost more than it can chew with its long list of victims. But for such a big case it's really not that complicated a plot. ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/01/chicago-pd-season-4-episode-10-review-dont-read-the-news/

Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 9 Review: Don't Bury This Case

It's another year so it's time for another One Chicago crossover. Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 9 picks up where Chicago Fire Season 5 Episode 9 left off, and does it one better by not treading as familiar territory as the first half. "Don't Bury This Case" starts off with Kelly Severide being the prime suspect in a fatal car accident but that tension doesn't last very long at all. One Chicago fans know Severide can't go to prison, so within 20 minutes CPD have moved on to the real perpetrators.   ...Read More...   https://www.tvfanatic.com/2017/01/chicago-pd-season-4-episode-9-review-dont-bury-this-case/

Chicago P.D. Review: Antonio Leaves Intelligence

With the holidays approaching it’s another important time for avid television viewers. We’re beginning to see the waves of midseason finales roll in, and Chicago P.D. decided to end the year with a double dose of cases. We were told this was coming, and as we close out 2016 in Chicago we saw it happen. In the two hour midseason finale of Chicago P.D., Antonio decides that the time has come for a major career change. His departure shakes up the structure of the Intelligence Unit, and places a finishing touch on the team at the center of the next ‘Chicago’ spinoff, Chicago Justice. It starts with a specific case the State’s Attorney’s office can’t handle on their own. Assistant State’s Attorney Stone asks Intelligence to find out who killed the key witness in his case against a rich playboy rapist and murderer named Oliver Tuxhorn. Stone’s witness Tariq Bolad was in protective custody but managed to slip away to help a friend in need. Intelligence finds it appalling that Stone’s investigators not only let Bolad slip away, but ignored the fact that the he and his wife were being followed. Stone does his best to control the trial in the meantime, but he’s on thin ice without a witness. READ MORE...

Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 6 Review: Skin In the Game

Every cop show has the episode where someone close to a main character is the prime suspect. Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 6 is one of those episodes. It doesn't give the audience anything new, but it does put Elias Koteas front and center as Olinsky gets to sit on the hot seat. One of Olinsky's oldest friends, baseball player and recovering addict Jake McCoy, is in CPD's crosshairs when teenage prostitute Maya Collins (that's Violett Beane of The Flash fame) winds up dead in his home. Jake naturally swears up and down that he didn't murder the girl. ...Read More...   //www.tvfanatic.com/2016/11/chicago-pd-season-4-episode-6-review-skin-in-the-game/

Chicago PD Season 4 Episode 2 Review: Made a Wrong Turn
