Ahead of the finale, star and creator Cristela Alonzo penned a long, heartfelt blog post to thank her supportive fans and answer some of the criticisms she's seen made of the show."The viewers we have are so loyal," Alonzo writes. "They watch our show every week because they remember we're on, not because we have so much promotion. I know for a fact that the cast is so grateful to have had this opportunity."Alonzo goes on to say that she has largely avoided reading criticism of her show, but she has seen some of it and wants to respond to the idea that not all Latino families are like the family on the show. The star says that that's why the show is called "Cristela"... //feedproxy.google.com/~r/Zap2it/~3/2gikuR1JiIo/cristela_alonzo_thanks_fans_answers_critics_cristela_finale-2015-04

Why Cristela Deserves to Get a Second Season

The season-one finale of Cristela Alonzos self-titled ABC comedy airs tonight at 8:30, and based on TV-industry buzz, odds are a bit less than 50-50 that the show will make it to season two. If it ends up canceled, it wont be a tragedy on the order of prematurely killed series like My So-Called Life or Freaks and Geeks. But it will be a damn shame and a mistake by ABC. Cristela is a funny, family-friendly, sometimes edgy, and almost always entertaining comedy that, based on both its content and its Nielsen performance, deserves to live at least a little longer.  Read More... //www.vulture.com/2015/04/cristela-deserves-to-get-a-second-season.html
