I'm not surprised this got canceled. I enjoyed the first couple of episodes, but the show began to suffer after this. I just never could develop any feelings toward Damien one way or another. I felt like the writers could have done a much better job. Damien is supposedly fighting against the darkness, yet he is inherently anti-Christ in his attitudes and behaviors. The show was more about what was going on around him than what was going on inside of him, making the show seem like more of a procedural drama than a real look into the future Antichrist. Can anyone say Sleepy Hollow? Perhaps things got better after episode 4, but I certainly wasn't watching. BTW, other shows have done an excellent job of showing the intricate dimensions between "good" and "bad" and this show wasn't able to do that. (Bates Motel, Supernatural, and Breaking Bad, to name a few.)
