TV ratings: 'Bones,' 'Enlisted,' 'Dracula' season finale rise while 'The Carrie Diaries' slips down

Fast National ratings for Friday, Jan. 24, 2014Much like Jonathan Rhys Meyers' vampire did from his coffin, NBC's "Dracula" rose on Friday night with its Season 1 finale, up 11% in adults 18-49 from last week's episode.FOX's "Bones" also saw a ratings increase, up 20% in adults 18-49 from last week, while "Enlisted" can thank its new 9 p.m. ET time slot for an impressive 67% increase in adults 18-49. ABC's "Last Man Standing" and "The Neighbors" both broke even with last week's ratings, while The CW's "The Carrie Diaries" was down from last week.CBS won the night in total viewers despite airing only reruns with 8 million viewers and a 5.0 rating/8 share in households. ABC was close behind with 7.2 million viewers and a 4.6/8. The rest of the networks trailed quite a bit: NBC was third (5.4 million, 3.5/6), FOX fourth (5.1 million, 3.0/5), and The CW fifth (0.8 million, 0.5/1).In the... //

'Dracula' season finale: Was the bloody massacre boring or thrilling?

NBC's "Dracula" Season 1 ended on Friday (Jan. 24) with a bloody finale. But did the freshman series manage to make a massacre kind of ... well, boring?The Jonathan Rhys Meyers led drama ended its first season with a bang, literally. During Grayson's public demonstration of his energy resonator, Harker and his cronies sabotage the device, setting it to blow five minutes after it gets turned on. He manages to warn Mina, who in turn warns Grayson, but he is unable to stop the explosion that kills and injures hundreds. Mina and Harker get away safely, but Mina can't even look at the man responsible for the murder and devastation that surrounds them.Meanwhile, Lady Jayne brings in a seer to locate all the vampire nests in the city while the hunstmen hunt them down. TV ratings: ABC scores demo wins while CBS takes Friday

Fast National ratings for Friday, Jan. 17, 2014It was another solid Friday night for the usual suspects on ABC and CBS, with the triple whammy of "Undercover Boss," "Hawaii Five-0" and "Blue Bloods" snagging the night's most viewers, while ABC pulled wins in the 18-49 demographic with "Shark Tank" and "20/20." Unfortunately, the low debut for FOX's new comedy "Enlisted" wasn't a fluke, with 0.4 million viewers dropping out from premiere week -- which wouldn't actually that big of a drop if the number weren't so low in the first place. CBS won the night overall with an average 10.6 million viewers and a 6.6 rating/11 household share. ABC trailed behind with 6.3 million (4.2/7), while NBC nabbed 5.2 million (3.3/6), FOX got 4.5 million (2.7/5) and The CW trailed with 801,000 viewers and a 0.5/1.In the 18-49 demo, however, ABC pulled ahead with an average of 1.7 for the night, with CBS earning... //

TV Ratings: 'Grimm,' 'Dracula' down on a night of football, reruns

Fast National ratings for Friday, Jan. 3, 2014Despite the competition being reruns and football specials, "Grimm" and "Dracula" both returned down with new episodes on NBC. New episodes of both shows -- the only regularly scheduled, non-repeats of the night -- failed to win their timeslots. FOX's college football special did that for both hours."Grimm" was down almost a million viewers from its most recent new episode in December -- 6.4 million viewers dropped to only 5.6 million -- while "Dracula" suffered a similar drop from 3.8 million viewers to 2.9 million.Reruns ABC, CBS and The CW gave the night's win to FOX, which aired a college football special from 8 to 10 p.m.FOX managed to get 7.2 million viewers and a 4.2 rating/7 share in households for the night.
