Elementary How the Sausage is Made Review (Season 5 Episode 8)

On the latest episode of Elementary, Holmes hit a roadblock in his sobriety, while he and Watson tried to determine who had killed a man involved with the artificial meat industry, in the amusingly-titled How the Sausage is Made. We began with a man who could pass for Hercule Poirot delivering a coronet- thats a crown to all us Yanks- to Holmes as payment for something or the other hed done. Holmes had refused to take the mans money, so he felt compelled to gift him something instead, but Holmes was nowhere to be found- including at the AA meetings the two attended- so he gave the item to Watson instead. ...Read More... //www.tvequals.com/2016/11/28/elementary-how-the-sausage-is-made-review-season-5-episode-8/

Elementary Bang Bang Shoot Chute Review (Season 5 Episode 7)

On the latest episode of Elementary, a base jumper was killed on his way down from leaping off a building in the city, while Watson got wind of Shinwell hanging around someone he shouldnt have, in the amusingly-titled Bang Bang Shoot Chute. This was a twisty one, that didnt allow for much subplots on the side, but thankfully, the show opted to just focus on the one involving Shinwell, so it didnt feel as overstuffed as, say, last weeks episode. I dont think I can do total justice to the intricacies of the main case, but Ill do my best.  ...Read More... //www.tvequals.com/2016/11/21/elementary-bang-bang-shoot-chute-review-season-5-episode-7/

Elementary Ill Tidings Review (Season 5 Episode 6)

There was a LOT going on in the latest episode of Elementary perhaps too much, TBH- but it was certainly never boring, at the very least. In Ill Tidings, we got a loose adaptation of the Holmes classic, The Speckled Band, but there was so much to deal with that a lot of things that could have been that much more interesting were left by the wayside in the process, resulting in a lot of Sturm and not enough Drang, if you know what I mean. But hey, at least Clyde made an appearance!  ...Read More... //www.tvequals.com/2016/11/14/elementary-ill-tidings-review-season-5-episode-6/

Elementary To Catch a Predator Predator Review (Season 5 Episode 5)

On the latest episode of Elementary, Holmes and company look into a twisted case in which the targets all seem to be child predators- hence the clever title, To Catch a Predator Predator. Meanwhile, Watson continued to try and help Shinwell upgrade his life by coaching him on how to approach a job interview- and even suggesting a surprising potential new line of work he could consider.  Read More... //www.tvequals.com/2016/11/07/elementary-to-catch-a-predator-predator-review-season-5-episode-5/

Elementary Henny Penny The Sky is Falling Review (Season 5 Episode 4)

On the latest episode of Elementary, while Captain Gregsons superior came to him with some mysterious news, the rest of the team investigated the murder of jack-of-all-trades who found himself on the wrong end of a fire poker, in Henny Penny The Sky is Falling. The victim this time around was Russell Cole, a Quantitative Analyst that worked for Mitch Barry (Richard Thomas, The Americans) on all sorts of things, when he wasnt freelancing on his own. Holmes deduces that it probably had something to do with a missing laptop that was stolen from the scene of the crime. ...Read More... //www.tvequals.com/2016/10/31/elementary-henny-penny-the-sky-is-falling-review-season-5-episode-4/

Elementary Render, Then Seize Her Review (Season 5 Episode 3)

On the latest episode of Elementary, Holmes tackled two cases for the price of one: one involving the Captains girlfriend, Paige (Virginia Madsen, whos been busy lately, between this and American Gothic and Designated Survivor), and insurance fraud; and another involving a murder outside a nudist camp involving an apparent kidnap victim, in Render, Then Seize Her.   Read More... //www.tvequals.com/2016/10/24/elementary-render-then-seize-her-review-season-5-episode-3/

Elementary Season 4 Episode 24 Review: A Difference in Kind

Here we are at the end of the season, and I am still asking myself why they aren't throwing all sorts of gold statuettes at John Noble. Elementary Season 4 Episode 23 Review: The Invisible Hand

In a bit of a bait-and-switch, Sherlock revealed very quickly at the start of this episode that Jamie Moriarty was not involved in the web of conspiracy around the assassination attempt on Morland Holmes. Her organization , however, was.
