Elementary Season 4 Episode 17 Review: You've Got Me, Who's Got You?

Sherlock and company investigated when a real-life superhero was gunned down, while Morland attempted to hire Joan to seek a mole in his organization in Elementary Season 4 Episode 17 , now on Sunday nights! The A-story poked some good-natured fun at comic book superheroes in general, but it also acknowledged that the victim was undeniably a good person who wanted to help protect his community.   Read More...   //

Elementary Season 4 Episode 16 Review: Hounded

Rich guy Charles Baskerville got smacked by a truck while running for his life, and his brother Henry correctly figured foul play was involved in Elementary Season 4 Episode 16 . This episode, called "Hounded," was of course based on the classic Sherlock Holmes novel The Hound of the Baskervilles . If you've never read the story, it's definitely worth reading at least once; set in the isolated Devonshire countryside, it features an escaped murderer, a mysterious stalker, a forbidden relationship... oh, yes, and a glowing hound. "Hounded" is less gothic horror story and more straight-up murder mystery, but it made for an entertaining hour nonetheless. ...  Read More....   //

Elementary Season 4 Episode 15 Review: Up to Heaven and Down to Hell

An architect doesn't want to admit his firm screwed up in its designs for a skyscraper, so naturally, the next logical course of action is to throw an old woman off a balcony. Sounds reasonable, right? Alas, Elementary Season 4 Episode 15 suffers from "needlessly complicated villain scheme" syndrome and its corollary, "murder is the obvious answer." I mean, seriously. The guy's an architect, for Pete's sake, and he was responsible for three deaths in the space of five days! ...  Read More...   //

Elementary Season 4 Episode 14 Review: Who Is That Masked Man?

A fairly uninteresting case of the week was made worse by the obviousness that the guy who owned the assisted living facility was somehow involved in Elementary Season 4 Episode 14 , "Who Is That Masked Man?". Not that I have anything against Kevin Kilner; he's a fine actor with an extensive filmography. Unfortunately, that's kinda the problem with casting him in such a seemingly-insignificant role!   Read More...   //

Elementary Season 4 Episode 13 Review: A Study in Charlotte

A professor and a group of students share a nice pot of psychedelic mushroom tea, only to die horribly because their mushrooms were tainted with death-cap toxin. And not just any death-cap toxin: super-duper concentrated synthetic death-cap toxin! Maybe Elementary Season 4 Episode 13 served better as a PSA as to why using 'shrooms is bad, instead of an actual murder mystery.   Read More...   //

Elementary Season 4 Episode 12 Review: A View with a Room

If you came into this episode expecting a heist, you were probably very disappointed. I know I was. While bait and switch isn't exactly uncommon, I was actually rather looking forward to the heist. The description for Elementary Season 4 Episode 12 runs like this: "Captain Gregson's colleague from Narcotics wants Holmes to plan the perfect heist a drug-dealing biker gang's compound." Sounds exciting, right? Only... it turned out to be a plain old murder case.    Read More...   //
