Good Witch Reviews & Ratings

Sundays, 8:00 PM ET on Hallmark Channel

60 minutes

Catherine Bell returns as everyone’s favorite good witch, Cassie Nightingale, in this enchanting new series about love, family, romance and a sweet mother-daughter duo and their magical charm. Inspired by the seven original movie franchise, “The Good Witch,” viewers will meet Cassie’s energetic and bright young-teenage daughter Grace, played by the lovable and talented Bailee Madison. Coupled with Cassie’s graceful, kind and intuitive charm, Grace will follow in her mother’s guiding footsteps and find herself in predicaments where her values, judgment and “skills” will be put to the test. Is it magic, a lucky coincidence or just a special intuitive insight only this family possesses? “The Good Witch” will inspire with each intriguing episode where “magic” just might play a part in saving the day all the while living a “normal, small town life” in the quaint town of Middleton.

Good wholesome family values series... when you need a break from cop shows and violence

The pilot episode should've been attention grabbing good. Instead Cassie seemed like a know it all, her daughter doesn't remotely talk like a person her age and in general nothing exciting happened. Even for a regular show it's a bit boring. I don't know Hallmark channel but if this was any other channel, it wouldn't make it to it's second season. I'm sorry, in this case I'd say the witches of east end, eastwick and the secret circle deserve more of a second chance than this show, and we all know those series weren't 'awesome' either.

Not a big fan of Catherine Bell, but I'm going to give it a few more episodes but so far it's an absolute waste of James Dentons talent.

Now three episodes in and it's a great show if you want a show where nothing happens. Not my cup of tea - it's called The Good Witch but I am yet to see anything happens that indicates there is a witch in the show.

Normally I really enjoy supernatural shows but this one felt like it lacked something. I can't put my finger on it but there wasn't anything in the pilot episode to make me want to continue on with the season.

Wholesome entertainment or not, there's no complexity at all. Characters are far too one-dimensional, with the lead being the ultimate in Mary Sue characters. Even on shows like Full House and The Brady Bunch we saw characters who could and did make mistakes that they would then learn from.

I like this show, I just kind of hoped for actual magic. But I like that its not at the same time. Its heartfelt and feelgood.

Good clean entertainment I can watch with my kids. Love to watch the movies and re-watch them for holidays like Christmas and even Halloween. Good family values and just nice comfortable feelings from Hallmark as usual. The only thing that would make it better is Jake still in it but oh well.
