Sean William Scott has been hired to replace Clayne Crawford. He will be playing a new character.

Ooooh A new season without Riggs.
Not sure I like the Idea of Sean William Scott in it. To me, he will always be his character from American Pie

This show without Riggs is not worth watching for me. Murtaugh is just annoying, Riggs was the character that made the show fun to watch.

This show should have been cancelled. Most ppl aren’t gonna watch season 3 and the ratings will b low. Bad decision by Fox here.

Seriously Sean William Scott as a replacement in a new character is laughable 1999 called they want their stiffler back. This is the last nail in this shows coffin

There was something off during this season I just couldn't put my finger on it. Now I know. But I am still sad to see Clayne Crawford leave the show. It will never be the same. I am going to give the new season a shot. But my hopes are low to non-existing.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. But I'm hopeful, as last I read was that this was gonna be completely canceled. As for the people that don't like Sean William Scott - go check out the movies Goon and Just Before I Go. Two excellent movies that he leads and aren't exactly Stiffler.

Won't be watching without Crawford. Not pleased how Waynes handled the situation. I think it was petty and I'm over it.

Damon Wayans has slammed his former Lethal Weapon co-star Clayne Crawford.

Wayans posted claims about the actor on Twitter, before deleting his account. He wrote: ‘Now that the fate of the show is solidified. I’d like to address the TWITTER outrage with this video and image to follow. #directedby @ClayneCrawford’. He also posted a picture of a cut on the back of his head with the words: ‘How does the shrapnel from this hit me on the opposite side of the head? #directedby @claynecrawford’.

Clayne said: ‘The second reprimand came during an episode I was directing. An actor on set felt unsafe because a piece of shrapnel from an effect hit him. ‘It was an unfortunate event that happened in spite of all safety precautions and procedures being followed.

So for those who thought Clayne was 'upset' at the dangers of the set, it sounds like he was the one who caused/had something to do with them

how is a director to know what way shrapnel is gonna fly thats why they have stunt co ordinators for that and Damon wayans sounded like a whiney diva . I have a feeling his nose was out of joint realizing he really wasnt the star of that show. If he stood by his temper tantrum he wouldnt have deleted his tweet and made all his social media private

It honestly wouldnt surprise me Charlotte, about Wayans.

And I mention the above as earlier claims made it sound like Clayne was upset about how dangerous the set was, where is the story is slightly different. Whilst you cannot blame someone directly for shrapnel firing off, it depends on what the director was doing with the part in the first place, for the shrapnel to fire off.

All i can say is the show is not going to the same without him, I think they should come to some agreement, and make it work because they are great to gather please.

From reading these comments, it sounds like you lot would all prefer Wayans to leave and to keep Crawford

Let's be realistic. The "injury" to Wayans was so minor. I mean my kids have had worse injuries on the soccer field for goodness sake yet he played it like he had been stabbed and half bled to death before anyone even called for help. It was an accident. Crawford apologized - the end. Wayans was being an absolute diva.

I'm seriously bummed about this. Crawford was a pleasure to watch as he navigated between such the fearless and vulnerable moments. I hope he will pop up in another new show. This show just won't have the same appeal for me going forward.

I too found Murtaugh more and more annoying as the season went on. A real parent does not go as overboard as he does with his kids. Will watch the beginning of the next season to see how it goes but it was Riggs I watched it for. The other thing that really annoys me is the disappearing baby. They eat dinner one time and the baby is there. Next time, no baby. Trish and Murtaugh come home from work. No mention of the baby. No babysitter or nanny, just nothing. They leave in the morning. No mention of where the baby is. Not good parents those two!

Well I am 11 episodes in of Season 3 and I have to admit, I prefer Cole over Riggs.
For starters I see a difference in Wayans acting. I cannot put it into words, but there seems to be less anger or forcing himself to act.
But perhaps it is just me, but you can tell the atmosphere has changed.

As for Cole, I like his character, I think it's a breath of fresh air, from Riggs' dark and depressive , living in the past, kind of character that was starting to grow old. First his ex wife, then his father.

Despite my previous comments, Seann William Scott has changed my opinion of him as an actor. He plays Cole well and whilst at the beginning, all I could see was Stiffmeister, that has disappeared. I cannot wait for the rest of season three, and hopefully season four.

With Riggs out of the way, I am also glad we are no longer seeing Jordana Brewster. I dont know how this woman ever gets an acting job, let alone stayed in Fast and Furious for as long as she did.

My understanding is that it's been cancelled. Wayans is leaving the show after this season etc. So it just seems that it's easier to cancel.
