Daredevil Recap: These Are the Facts

And just after complaining about those less-than gory fight sequences, we get some doozies in this one. John Healy (Alex Morf) reads like a cross between Walter Goggins, but when he was on Community , with a little bit of, well, Joss Whedon. His earnest request about bowling contrasts nicely with the next scene, where he snaps Mr. Prohaszkas bones and smashes his head with a bowling ball. Well, he had to. A random 36-hour flashback shows that Turk Barrett promised him his revolver would work when it counted. I thought that flashback would be a whole episode aspect, and when it was just a onetime gag, it became my favorite bit in this already good episode one that brings our villain into the fore, and lays out some ground rules for the Daredevil universe.   Read More... //www.vulture.com/2015/04/daredevil-recap-season-1-episode-3.html

Daredevil Season 1 Episode 2 Review: Cut Man

Daredevil introduces Night Nurse! How is it possible that Daredevil Season 1 Episode 2 was even more intense than the first installment? It's a good thing Claire Temple found Matt in that dumpster. Sure, he can take a beating, but he's going to need her expertise moving forward. The hallway fight scene at the end, is proof Marvel/Netflix are not just delivering your typical comic book show, they're creating art and doing it with a helluva lot of style. Wow!   Read More... //www.tvfanatic.com/2015/04/daredevil-season-1-episode-2-review-cut-man/

Daredevil Series Premiere Recap: Let the Devil Out

Let me be honest: I was excited about Daredevil until I saw the trailers. The trailers make the show seem gritty and dark in a way weve become so used to recently, but they lack the real fun and verve of a Marvel movie. Yes, I hate to say it, but the trailers made Daredevil look like a DC movie. Dark both literally and metaphorically, oozing like tar throughout the whole show, guaranteed to be full of super-violent, faux -philosophical parables that mean a sickening amount of people dying to make the main character feel things.   Read More... //www.vulture.com/2015/04/daredevil-recap-season-1-episode-1.html

Daredevil Review: Charlie Cox Owns Marvels Blind Superhero Story in Netflix Series Take

Forget everything you thought you knew about Matt Murdock and his superhero alter ego Daredevil. Not much, you say? The blind lawyer-crime fighter is a lesser-known Marvel Universe comic book character unless youre a comic book reader and/or remember the 2003 film that starred Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner and which most would like to forget judging by its 45 percent Rottentomatoes.com rating . Lets face it, Daredevil is no Spider-Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Wolverine or Iron Man. But streaming giant Netflix would change that with 13-part series Marvels Daredevil.   Read More.... //www.thewrap.com/daredevil-review-charlie-cox-owns-marvels-blind-superhero-story-in-netflix-series-take/
