Britney Won't Perform at the VMAs

You've probably already heard about the promos that Britney Spears has filmed for this year's VMAs. There's a giant elephant in the promo because, well, we all know what happened at last year's VMAs... So, with the successful filming of these promos (in which Britney looks pretty good) and well as the general gossip that Spears has been doing better, the rumors have been swarming that Spears would take another stab at performing at this year's show. However, her manager has just confirmed that this is not the case. Personally, I think this is a smart move. While it would do wonders for the burgeoning "Spears comeback" to top it all off with a completely awesome performance at this year's show, another snafu would undo all of the positive buzz that Spears has managed to create for herself in recent months. It's just too risky. I think a better move will be releasing an amazing music video for the first single off of her new album, which she is currently recording. What do you guys think? The VMAs will air live on September 7th. Source: THR

Gimme Gimme More Britney at the VMAs

You've got to give Britney Spears some credit. After last year's VMA debacle, she could go and hide in a corner, but instead Britney is filming a promo for this year's awards with host Russell Brand (of Forgetting Sarah Marshall ). The promo is rumored to be mostly ad-libbed and contains "a 9,000-pound elephant in it". What's the elephant in the room, you ask? Just watch this video . Who smells a giant comeback? Source: E!Online
