Oz is smart dark television. A foundation of HBO's long history of quality programming, Oz compellingly tells the story of a prison. Starring Christopher Meloni, give this show a view and you'll recognize aspects of many dramas airing on premium channels today.

One of the first HBO series I have watched and it stayed with me. I'm not sure how it holds up now, but it was different, more unsettling and captivating than anything I'd seen at the time.
