I can't really judge the show as a whole cos each episode will be a different story each week, so any episodes that ends on a cliffhanger you can forget about it continuing on the following episode. The series you could say are just small episodes of short stories that were written by P.K.D. So, as of the episodes aired now..

Episode 1: 8/10.
Episode 2: 8/10.
Episode 3: 7/10.
Episode 4: 7/10.
Episode 5: 9/10.

Two and a half stars, harsh as it may be for a series with this production value, is all this series deserves for the moment .The acting, with several major exceptions in casting, is quite good . The angles and effects, while at times gracelessly applied, are competent and at other times genuinely beautiful. The pacing holds up pretty well for each individual style. I respect the frugality and effectiveness of the production design, as I'm sure it helped balance the budget across the board and give each department enough capital for big names and effects, without sacrificing immersion. The writing, plot and dialogue specifically, is a whole other story. Whether it is a product of adaptation, format, or something else entirely, there is no excuse for the plethora of groan inducing moments peppered throughout, nor the blind following of tired tropes and boring clichés. This show is worth it, and the opportunity ripe with black mirror on it's way out. Sort it out and claim two stars more, or you might as well rename the show "electric sheep".

Review written after watching episode 1.

For fans of 'Black Mirror', drama sci-fi, and stand-alone stories, then 'Philip K. Dick's - Electric Dreams' should definitely be on your list of shows to check out.

I'm sure that some stories will appeal more than others, but going off the strength & quality of the first episode - I'm certainly going to be tuning in next week.

Update, after seeing episodes 2 & 3.

The stories are certainly un-usual (which isn't a bad thing)
I'm still enjoying the series, but I must admit - not nearly as much as I did with episode 1.
Maybe it's the complete lack of story closure that is starting to frustrating me (it almost feels like we are missing the entire 4th act).

The next installment of brilliant sense Black Mirror. A modern version of cult classic short stories such as- The Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Hitchhikers ect. Not to be confused with other wonderful series like- The X Files, Fringe, Humans, Westworld, Orphan Black ect. Where the main characters remain the same with new obstacles. These stories feel organic not mechanical which is hard to put off in a Sci-fi setting. Hey if you don't like one there's the next~

Some episodes are fantastic and others I didn't much care for but overall this is a great sci-fi anthology series.

It's really not very good. I couldn't connect to the characters to believe any of them, and never really "fell into" the show. It felt very stage-y, like it was just a montage of scenes. There was no serious flow and the stories tended to be very superficial, cliche and predictable. I wouldn't bother watching any more. It was promising, but it failed. I'm very disappointed.

It's a good series, but a little disappointed when I compare it to the latest Black Mirror season. All in all, they're good TV, but wanted something great.
