a slight lightweight piece of disposable entertainment starring Brandon Walsh, a generic hot chick and the City of Toronto.

I've heard that this is very much like Republic of Doyle, but it feels more like Castle to me - only the female lead unwillingly paired with the male lead is a PI instead of a Detective. I'll give it another couple of episodes to see how it goes, but the interaction between the cast seems forced.

I like this show. It is nothing to rave about but it has good basics. I like the way Matt and Angie teamed up, I like their personal lives/stories and I like the cases they work on. Nothing spectacular, but nice, easy going and funny TV. It doesn't always have to be WOW, sometimes, the nice stuff will do just fine.

Castle like - might end up on a UK tv channel repeated over and over like NCIS.
Its OK ...
From an English perspective its refreshing to hear a woman talking about her 'fanny' ...
Update: A 'Murder She Wrote' / 'Columbo' combo plus cheese !
On the bright side atleast you can see the 'bad' guy right from the start.
In 1970's US tv shows like this either started with "Introducing xxxxx" or "co-starring xxxx" so that you knew who the bad guy was from the start.
A hoot for all the wrong reasons ...

I like this new show. Characters are interesting, not boring, and each episode so far has been very enjoyable. This is a winner.

A Canadian show which is sort of Castleque in the sense that an ex sport player teams up with a private eye to investigate different matters. I find it interesting with their banter. Adds a good dose of humour. There a few different versions of this type of show out there and generally I like them. Sort of like a fish out of water scenario. I hope they can keep up their stories.
