Rizzoli & Isles Season 6 Episode 1 Review: The Platform

I'm delighted that Rizzoli & Isles kicked off Rizzoli & Isles Season 6 with a Frankie centered episode. Frankie's relationships with both Jane and Maura have always been one of my favorite parts of the show, and seeing him in a serious, dramatic conflict added layers of complexity that I didn't expect, especially when it started off with a typical Angela sideline about giving Frankie a free chair that everyone else thought was ugly.   Read More...   //

Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Finale Review: Will It All Be OK?

The two-hour season finale of Rizzoli & Isles was basically two very separate episodes so well take them one at a time. My favorite was Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 17 , where a man who believed he was a werewolf took a Bite Out of Crime. As Maura eventually deduced, their was nothing supernatural about Michael (aka McGruffs) behavior. The homeless man living in the park wasnt a werewolf or mentally ill. He actually had a brain tumor and he still turned out to be a hero, despite the delusions and hallucinations it caused. As Angela later pointed out, if it werent for Michael biting that sniper, two more people would probably have been killed.  Read More... //

Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 16 Review: In Plain View

Who steals your identity but sends you the items? That was my first question in Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 16 but it was quickly answered when we found out that the boutique had made a mistake in sending Maura those shoes. What surprised me most of all was Mauras reaction. Was Maura Isles really that dissatisfied with her life that she romanticized a woman who was stealing from her? Was all it took to make her doubt herself a creative spa appointment? And wasnt she smart enough to realize that the longer this woman was allowed to roam free, the more things she will charge on her credit cards? Not that Maura will have to pay the bills, but someone eventually pays if those items arent returned.   Read More... //

Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 15 Review: Gumshoe

There was plenty of gray area on Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 15 from attitudes about crime solving to going through someones closet. Lets start with Jerry. Everyone hated Jerry from the moment they met him; not because he was a bad guy, but apparently because of his profession. Jerry was a private investigator, and as much as everyone at the Boston Police department appeared to look down their noses at him, I appreciated how Jerry justified his work.   Read More... //

Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 14 Review: Foot Loose

The tide continued to roll in on the shores of Boston but the peaceful sound of the waves was marred by the site of severed limbs on Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 14 . Of course it was nothing that Korsak hadn't seen before as Jane pointed out in this Rizzoli & Isles quote...   Read More... //

Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 13 Review: Bridge to Tomorrow

Is there anyone for whom youd jump off a bridge? How about someone you barely know? Well, Jane Rizzoli did just that in Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 13 and not everyone took it well. Jane must be one hell of a strong swimmer because she not only saved herself, she also seemingly saved Paul. But as Korsak said in this Rizzoli & Isles quote .   Read More... //

Rizzoli & Isles Review: The Whole Package

Danielle told her friends that her new boyfriend was the whole package, but was dating a married man what got her killed on  Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 12 ?  The murder by suffocation was scary. Was anyone else yelling at the TV for Danielle to try and rip the plastic bag and then struggle with her attacker? Unfortunately, it didn't work that way.  Read More... //

Rizzoli & Isles Review: The Sweat Tea Effect

You've heard of sweet tea. It's delicious and is not to be confused with Angela's sweat tea on  Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Episode 11 .  I'm generally not a big fan when Angela carries the humorous stories on the show. I like her far better in her more serious moments or when she's being an amazing mom. So I wasn't a big supporter of the sweat tea story line. It wasn't horrible but neither watching Angela practically throw herself at Vince nor watching the dog hump Frankie's leg were highlights of the episode.  Otherwise, the dog was cute. I couldn't stop smiling over Vince naming him after Detective Sipowicz from NYPD Blue and I liked that he figured out that the dog wasn't listening because he only spoke Spanish.  Read More... //

Rizzoli & Isles Season 5 Review “Burden of Proof”

On the mid-season finale of  “Rizzoli & Isles,”  it was cliffhanger time, almost literally, as Rizzoli found herself taking a long leap off a not-so-short bridge in pursuit of an alleged murderer in “Burden of Proof.” It all started with the murder of Danielle (Stephanie Pearson), who was killed in a similar fashion as a previous murder in Plymouth- only that murderer was supposedly already in jail for his crime. Was the jailed culprit innocent? Or was there a copycat murderer afoot? And what was the connection between the victim and the Plymouth murder, if any? Read More... //
