Shin Chan Creator Yoshito Usui Mourned by Millions - Featured

Yoshito Usui, creator of the foul-mouthed, crude, and incredibly popular Shin Chan (known as Crayon Shin-chan in Japanese), was found dead on Sunday in Japan after what appears to be a hiking accident. The Shin Chan manga, which had been on hiatus, will finish publishing Usui's last work in November, but the future of the series has not yet been announced. Fans of Shin Chan all around the world have expressed sorrow over the loss of Yoshito Usui, who USA Today called "just as essential to pop culture as Matt Groening, the South Park creators, or Seth McFarlane". Shin Chan has been translated into dozens of languages and been on the air across the world, from Asia to Latin America, and is currently being released in the United States by FUNimation.
