The pilot almost seemed to have three distinct parts. In Part I, I was rolling my eyes at hokey acting, horrible dialogue, contrived characters, and predictability. Then Part II came along and things got a little interesting. It was like the actors took a weekend acting class that really paid off while the writers hit their stride with something they were familiar with. Then Part III happened, and it was back to the eye-rolling.

I'm going to give the show my usual five episodes (half the first season) to show me what it's got, but it's not looking good at this point. Also, as part of the bad acting, can someone please let that Aussie know that when her native accent isn't slipping through in her opening scene, she sounds like she's reading the audio script for a history textbook.
