It's a decent show, but a bit too grimdark like most DC shows that I've seen. Still, most of the characters are interesting enough that it's worth a try.

hmmm so far it's been ok, except the star fire outfit, the fact that BB only turns into a tiger to me says it's either budget holding this show back or the writers. Lets hope they can make this better....

This series is gruesome without being too much - it has a tinge of Gotham (of course).
Would love to see more of the Doom Patrol!

I really got excited about this show at first. I gave it a 5-star review when I was halfway through because I just didn't see how it could go wrong...

But go wrong, it did. Villains are just tossed aside at breakneck speed and without any care at all. I can forgive that, although it makes almost every buildup in the season feel hollow and anti-climactic.

The real issue is that, with this season's story pacing, which is insanely fast, why on Earth would TWO episodes be complete and total wastes of time? Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed "Hank and Dawn" as a standalone storyline, but to give minor characters an entire episode? Bad idea, especially after the clifffhanger in "Donna Troy".

If that wasn't bad enough, the final episode of the season, "Dick Grayson" is yet another waste of time. It's like someone in the writer's room said, "We went an entire season without giving Batman any attention, we'd better fix that." We're not here to watch Batman. My excitement for this show was built from the moment in the first episode when Dick says, "Fuck Batman."

These diversion episodes feel disrespectful for the viewer, like the writers believe they can get away with anything, even slapping an obviously out-of-sync episode in the middle of the story and we'll just love it, anyway. Stick with the story, and fuck Batman.

Great tv series! You start watching an episode and 40 minutes literally pass as if in a blink of an eye. I love the relationships that start to form between the characters and can't wait for the 2nd season.

So edgy now is throwing in a few swears words and having fight scenes slightly more violent then Arrow? OK, good to know DC streaming service....
